The results? Reggae and soft rock music have the most positive influence on the dogs’ behaviors. Different genres of music were played for the dogs, and their responses were analyzed. Research conducted by the Scottish SPCA and the University of Glasgow at an animal shelter in Dumbarton, Scotland examined the effects of music on the behavior of the resident dogs. We know that music has a strong effect on human emotions, but now there’s proof that certain kinds of music…especially reggae.have a calming effect on dogs in stressful situations, like animal shelters.
